Church trident puzzle solution

01 · Do this

Follow the route in order.

1. 01

   Once you have the Trident in Chapter 2, take it to the Church symbol pillar or obelisk before attempting the sequence.

2. 02

   Set the four layers from top to bottom: Yig (serpent or snake-like) → Tsog-Nar (crooked cross or X-like) → Gyrh (rhombic spearhead) → Cthylla (splayed womb or vase-like).

3. 03

   Place the Trident into the mechanism and interact to confirm the symbol arrangement.

4. 04

   Wait for lightning to strike three times. Let the sequence finish until the Trident is visibly charged.

5. 05

   Carry the charged Trident back to the Church and continue the objective.

02 · Confirm

What success looks like.

• The four-layer symbol arrangement is accepted with Yig, Tsog-Nar, Gyrh, and Cthylla in that top-to-bottom order.
• The pillar or mechanism is struck by lightning three times after the Trident is placed and confirmed.
• The Trident is charged when the lightning sequence completes; only then take it back to the Church.

03 · Boundaries

Before you retry.

• The gameplay video shows the Star Key near the Church on this route, but the Steam solution thread does not independently verify that location; treat it as video-only context, not a dual-source prerequisite.
• Shape descriptions are visual aliases for the named symbols; use the named order and the shape together rather than guessing from a similar-looking icon.
• Do not leave during the lightning sequence or treat a placed-but-uncharged Trident as the success state.

04 · Undo

If it does not trigger.

• This is a low-risk in-game puzzle and requires no file or mod changes. If the arrangement is not accepted, stop before taking the Trident away and recheck the four layers from top to bottom.
• If the interaction remains stuck after the exact sequence, reload the last save before the mechanism and repeat the placement and confirmation; do not add an unverified alternate order.
